History -The famous 24 Hours of Daytona is a 24-hour sports car endurance race held at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida since 1966. It is run on a 3.56-mile (5.73 km) combined road course using part of the NASCAR tri-oval and an infield road course. Robin Liddell started seventh on the grid at the 2011 running of the famous 24 Hours of Daytona Race. Moving to fourth place by the end of the opening lap he was leading the race by the end of lap three. Liddell would hold onto the lead in the GT class for 23 laps until he experienced electrical fuel pressure issues which forced him off track and into the garage.
