Professor Motor
Raceway
Super
smooth Chris Dadds built 135' lap length 4 lane track is wedged
in the Professor Motor basement. All of the track could not be
captured at one time given the tight confines. This track was the
first of several large scale basement club tracks in the
South-Eastern Michigan area.... more on that later. Each lane of
this track is equipped with an independent variable voltage 10
amp supply, designed & built by the professor, voltage is
available all the way from "chop & grate" to
"liquify"...... A SRT (Slot Racing Technology) computer
race director system does the timing (to o.oo1 seconds) and lap
counting tasks. A separate monitor has been hung over the main
straight for the drivers to observe their laps and times. Pit
space is a little tight with this & all the machining
equipment in the basement .. but it is liveable. Endless fun to
do building and testing of cars all in one spot.
