GOFER RACING 1/24 / 1/25 Curtis Turner '56 Ford Waterslide Decals. Curtis Turner was NASCAR’s first wild man. Turner was born in Floyd County Virginia in 1924 and died in a plane crash in 1970. His antics on and off the track are legendary. Curtis made millions in the timber business and racing was more of a hobby. During his racing career, Turner won 360 races in several different racing series. In 1956 he won 22 NASCAR convertible races and the Southern 500 in a 1956 Ford. Gofer Racing decal sheet 12002 will build Turner’s 1956 Ford “The Wild Hog” that he won the Southern 500 in and the convertible he ran at Daytona Beach. Use AMT 807, 56 Ford Victoria for your model.
