This unit will adapt any Slot.it car for operation on a Scalextric Digital system. Soldering required for installation. This chip is designed to handle more amperage than Scalextric's own digital chip, which allows you to run somewhat more powerful motors and/or stronger magnets on your cars without blowing the chip.
External infrared LED on wires may be used (available separately).

The Difference Between the SP15D and SP15C1
The SP15D is a reprogrammable device. The idea behind the SP15D was to also have an app available which could be used to program the chip so that the maximum speed of the model and the brake settings could be adjusted by the user.
The SP15D works well under normal conditions. However, on some tracks where the power supply fluctuates—either because of poor electrical connections or because the circuit is long and lacks booster cables—the SP15D may stutter. This behavior is due to an inherent characteristic of the Nordic chip used in the SP15D, and unfortunately it can only be solved at the track level.
If the track has good booster cables and solid electrical connections, the SP15D will perform correctly. We understand that this may not always be possible, and for this reason we have put back into production a chip from the SP15C family.
The SP15C1 is a redesign of the SP15C chip that improves the circuit layout by moving the LED forward in order to work reliably with some ARC PRO systems as well. Other than that, it is exactly the same as the original SP15C. This means that even if the track connections are not optimal, it will behave just like the SP15C and operate reliably.
The SP15C1 does not offer any possibility of reprogramming. Unlike the SP15D, there are no adjustable parameters such as speed or brake settings. However, it is more tolerant of electrical fluctuations and therefore will work in situations where the SP15D may not.
