The RX-7 FD has long been a favourite among sports-car fans, and in Japan, it occasionally found a second life in police service — especially in traffic and highway patrol units where speed and agility were essential.

With its lightweight rotary power, sharp handling, and dramatic styling, it made for a very capable pursuit car. Here, the RX-7 wears the distinctive black-and-white kōban police livery, complete with roof-mounted light bar, bonnet crest, and Japanese service markings along the flanks.
