1/32 Analog RTR - Mini Cooper S Britax #11 Livery
The C3640 Scalextric model Mini Cooper is based upon the BRITAX
sponsored car as raced by Steve Neal who finished in 9th place (5th in
class) in the Wipac Trophy race, a round of the 1969 British Saloon Car
Championship supporting the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Steve
Neal, father of BTCC driver Matt Neal, regularly raced in 1968 and 1969
in a Morris Mini Cooper in the BSCC (British Saloon Car Championship -
the fore-runner of BTCC). After racing for the Cooper Car Company, Neal
gained a seat in a two-car Morris Mini Cooper S team in 1969. With team
partner Gordon Spice and the Britax-Cooper-Downton team, Neal soon made
the yellow and black Minis firm favorites with race fans. C3640 requires a C7005 DPR decoder fitted for conversion to ‘Scalextric Digital’ or ‘Scalextric Digital ARC PRO’ systems.
