Velociraptor Motors & Set-ups should only be run on a power supply at 2 to 3 volts MAX for NO MORE THAN 30 SECONDS. Longer break in at low voltage can cause overheating and damage to the motor. This issue is caused by the extreme strength of the magnets. They are equal to or more powerful than most of the GP-7 cobalt magnets on the market at this time. This extreme strength (1800 – 2000 Gauss) means these motors deliver GP-7 performance in an affordable package. The very high current draw of these motors gives them a very high amount of torque (POWER) but also generates the very high internal heat. Please exercise caution when breaking these motors in to avoid heat damage.
